Introduction to Semi-Modular Synthesizers

Get some hands-on, guided experience in a 2 hour class using semi-modular synthesizers from Moog and Make Noise. Hear and create synthesizer concepts including different waveforms, drones, envelopes, filtering, wavefolding, subharmonics, and sequencing. No synthesizer knowledge or musical skill is required. Rotate between 3 different synth stations while patching, turning knobs, and producing expected and unexpected sonic results. 

Semi-modular synthesizers are the most cost-effective way to get into modular synthesis ($100-1000 entry point) and provide a limited set of tools to use as an imaginative sound playground. Beware: limitations may inspire creativity!
